II have the highest respect for Bill. He was a man of integrity and it was an honor for me to have worked with him in the 2nd Precinct NCPD.May he rest in peace and for us to know that he is in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The righteous man who walks in his integrity, blessed are his children after him.Proverbs 20:7
My prayers of comfort and peace go out to the McGlone family and friends.
Lord Bless,
Dave Cameron

My condolences to the McGlone family at this time, as the life of a true gentleman is celebrated.
I worked with Bill for several years in the Second Pct. We were all young sergeants then.
Always enjoyed our runs around the industrial park, working out in the gym and the endless banter. Remember how effortlessly he would leave everyone behind at the end of one of our runs.
Bill was a pleasure to work with and and will surely be missed by all who knew him !

Bill was always smiling. A true gentleman and all around good person. He loved his family and always bragged about them. It was a true honor to know him. He will be deeply missed.

Bill was a strong big brother to me, his sister Marion, and my younger brother Pete, and a close friend also to both myself and my husband Ed. He was the best. You could always count on Bill to do the right thing. He was fiercely devoted to his family, including his wife Doreen and his children and grandchildren. He was always thoughtful and considerate of others and was lots of fun to be with. Bill was generous and unselfish and would not hesitate to put himself out to lend a hand to someone needing help. He was loved by his family, friends and neighbors and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. Although our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the thought that Bill is now enjoying eternal happiness with God in heaven. We thank Bill for the example he has shown in how to be a good person and lead a good life.

Bill and I have known each other since high school. We have been friends for 67 years and have had lots of laughs. He was Nassau PD and on I was Suffolk PD. We shared many stories between us, many New Years Eve parties and family get togethers. My wife and I will miss him but we will always remember the good times we had and the friendship we shared with Bill and Doreen!

Maggie and I send our condolences to Doreen and the entire McGlone family. We knew Bill for over 20 years. We live two houses down on Hansen Lane. Bill and I always enjoyed working in our yards and sharing what projects we were working on. In the winter we both got out our snow-throwers and took care of our neighbors driveways. It was always great bonding together. He was a true gentleman with a heart of gold. He will be missed by all.

Great picture of Bill so friendly and with a huge heart. I worked for Bill as he was my Sergeant in the Second Precinct of Nassau County. Bill was a great Boss and friend. Over the years he never changed and he will be forever missed.

This is such a sad time for you Doreen and all who knew Bill. Having the privilege of knowing him,
made you aware of how kind and caring he was. Although he may no longer be with you physically,
he will always be your strength. Bill was and will always remain special. Love, Sue
