My beautiful mother in law passed away on May 14. Right now I can’t help but think about Pam and my dad at the same time, and I can’t help finding parallels and resemblances. She was born a year after him. I think she and him were diagnosed with cancer around the same time. Both stubbornly outlived their prognoses by many many years, and continued to fiercely love their family while fighting and fighting and fighting the battles for their lives. They never met but knew of each other and took interest in each others’ journeys. She would ask about him, his health, how he was doing, coping. He would ask about her, wishing her everything well on her journey. She passed away a year after him, almost to the day.
They both had an intensity to them. You could sense something pulsating and glowing in the center. You could feel their emotions. Everything was 100% and then some.
They were amazing cooks, and one of my regrets is that they never got to taste each others’ foods. They had striking features. He was devilishly handsome. She was stunningly beautiful. They had a presence that could not be ignored.
I live in Alaska, she lived in New York. We didn’t meet often, but the times we did meet made a strong impression and I cherish every minute of that time.
Pam and Dom’s son is the love of my life. To a large degree I know he is the love of my life because he is their son. He knows what unconditional love is, it is embedded in him and he shares it generously with me and his daughter. On top of that he is stunningly beautiful from his soul to his fingertips. There is a beautiful legacy living on in Jason and his sister Nicole and his brother Dave.
Rest in peace Pam, and may your family find comfort in the intensely bright memories you are leaving behind.

We shared so many times of good cheer and fun from childhood to adulthood. We witnessed our children maturing and becoming adults. We attended weddings, christenings, and funerals. Family get together.brought us together for holiday fun. Sadly dear friend, now we say farewell. May the road rise to meet you and the wind be at your back. May you rest in comfort and peace. May the love we shared warm your memories. God bless you Marie Lococo.
