Dear Joe and family
We share such sadness for you and the entire family with the passing of Carolyn and your Mom.
Here are my feelings about her legacy and tribute to her life.
Having met Carolyn for the first time at your wedding I was so impressed with her poise and confidence. Several years later after my return from the military the in 1969 we had a wonderful invitation to join you Joe and Carolyn at Martha's Vineyard with my soon-to-be wife Joanne. What a wonderful time we had visiting during your vacation there. What we witnessed was a sister in law but truly a sister. The two of you were inseparable and demonstrated the true bond of marriage. Must say that Carolyn was and instrumental example for us.
Carolyn was so smart in so many ways, I'm sure her colleagues in education can attest in much greater detail than I; however I soon found her as a travel genius. Joanne would often say she lost her calling she should've been a travel agent, but I think she enjoyed the search for the best adventure even more.
Speaking of her as an educator, she was a role model to teachers, including my daughter Laura. Moreover she was a true athlete love to ski and travel, and as all our kids grown older we had many good times skiing in New Hampshire and Vermont you guys, Carolyn was the master navigator and will continue to be a constant companion on this journey.
Love Tom and Joanne

I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn was an amazing and wonderful person. She was instrumental in jump starting my teaching career in Brentwood, for which I will always be grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with you . .. Sincerely, Susan Leonard

I’m so sorry for the passing of Carolyn. I remember the time down Ocean City with the Schorn Family. What a great time I had with Carolyn. She was a kind hearted lady, always smiling and always had a kind word for everyone! She loved her family so much and it certainly showed in her smile. R.I.P. Carolyn! I know you are definitely in heaven with God!. You will be missed!
