I am sorry to hear about the passing of Franklin. His wife was my music teacher at Middleville and Franklin was a staple in the community. I didn't know him very well but I used to see him at Dunkin Donuts, at the fire house when I voted, and at EYC events. He was always a friendly, familiar face who said hello. My sympathies to his wife, children, family, and friends.

It is with great sorrow that the officers and members of the Northport American Legion Post offer our deepest sympathy, Franklin was a wonderful veteran who gave back so much through his Eucharist ministry duties and his wonderful sense of humor to many at the VAMC and thé Post

Dear Lillian, Franklin, Barbara, Charles & Laura,
My Deepest Sympathies, I’m sending prayers and love to each of you. Franklin, Sr. will always be remembered as my sweet, kind, funny, warm hearted, devoted veteran & cousin. Franklin Sr. was a delightful person bringing joy to all. I remember as a child his trick with his finger that looked like he had separated it from his hand. I remember how much he loved sailing. The best was his pride in helping his fellow Veterans. This brought him much honor that he could talk and help his fellow Vets. He will be truly missed.
