My uncle John was a great family man and a great veteran. He loved his family and his country. I always loved going out to my Aunt Florence and Uncle John's house. They went on many trips with my parents including navy reunions. Although not in great health himself,he was determined to go to my fathers funeral last year which he did. I will always remember the fun times we all had together, the holidays together and the fishing trips in the "Boston Whaler". Although it is harder to get together as I raised a family in NJ, they were always in my thoughts. He is the last of the Hoops brothers and he will never be forgotten by me.
