Survived by her sisters Linda Giles, Mary Ellen Riek, Frances Gebhard and their spouses, several nieces and nephews and their children. Predeceased by her sister Sue Fuhr. Carolyn achieved great success in the retail industry and traveled the world. She was a woman ahead of her time. We will cherish the memory of her generosity, loyalty and fun loving spirit forever. In lieu of flowers donations to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Research would be appreciated. Memorial visitation will be held at the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport, NY 11768 on Thursday October 20, 2011 from 2-5 PM. A Memorial Service will begin at 4 PM with Rev. Bruce Kaifler, officiating.
