...sad, sad news...I have spent the past several days trying to capture my feelings for the man and his legacy, and for the unimaginable sorrow for the Wiiliams family, an extended part I am thankful to be included in. I am grateful to have had "BW" as a person of influence in my life. Lessons taught and learned, that will never to be forgotten. He taught me -- all of us for that matter -- as much about the sports I played and was mentored by him, as he did about life. It was part of the package. Never lost was the importance of being respected as an athlete, but more importantly as a man. He talked the talk, and walked the walk, living the lessons that he preached to us all in his own life and staying on that course. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to share some time with him later in life enjoying Spring Baseball, and sharing some of these wonderful and cherished memories. Blessings to the surviving family and Rest in Peace...

Uncle Barry, you will be missed. You were always a role model to me as to what a parent and grandparent should be - loving, caring, thoughtful, accepting. While I know that you are in a better place, and out of pain, there is now an emptiness here without you.
