Stephen & Roberta Schiavi posted a condolence
Monday, June 27, 2016
We are so saddened by the loss of a great man. We will miss Tom dearly. He represented an unparalleled generation.
From the first moment we met Tom, our respect and admiration for him grew stronger with every passing day of that friendship. Tom worked diligently, effectively, and foremost to provide for his loved ones. He married Joan, and was one with her forever. He raised his four children, Thomas, Michael, Maureen, and Christopher to love and respect others, and to enjoy life with the same zest and compassion for it that he had possessed. When his children married, Tom treated their spouses with that same love and admiration. When he became a grandfather to his eight loving grandchildren, Tom always tried to fill their young lives with hope, fun, laughter, and love. He entered into those important years of grand-parenting never forgetting to set a positive example for each of them.
What will be remembered most of all, about Tom, was his undying service to others, his personal knowledge of where he came from and who he was, his unwavering honor to those who came before him, his service to his country, and his unfaltering service to his numerous heartfelt charities and community organizations. Tom is a man who will never be forgotten. May he always rest in the peace of his Lord's arms, with Joan by his side.
With our love always,
Stephen, Roberta, and the entire Schiavi family
