Chicky, its Charlie Edwards. I am so sorry to hear of this, i tried to call the house before Christmas and not getting Phillys voice mail was heart breaking. i really don't know what to say right now. In Northport Phil was a long time neighbor and good friend. After we retired to Florida we looked forward on visits to LI to joining Phil and Ruth for conversation and dinner. Phil’s interests, activities and life experiences were so diverse that there was never an end to interesting and fascinating discussions – a truly unique and wonderful man. He was blessed with a great mind, endless energy and a wonderful family. He will be missed. Our sympathies go out to the family, Priscilla and Connie

Fond memories of a fine gentleman. Always welcoming. In the last month or so my son joined Civil Air Patrol. I told my son about how I first heard of CAP. I told him about Phil deCarolis, this man who was intriguing with his many interests, endevours, and talents - yet humble. I mused how it would be great to break away from our "busyness" and get to NY for a visit. Hmmmm. At this time of grieving, i pray that this can also be a time that brings family closer, making the best of this little flicker of time we are given.
