Anne Rakucewicz, 90, passed away March, 23, 2017. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey and moved to Spring Hill, Florida from Northport, New York in 1988. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Kern, son-in-law Peter Kern, and son Robert Rakucewicz. Anne was a member of St. Theresa Church and choir and taught CCD at the Church. Anne was an educator for over 20 years at St. Anastasia School in Douglaston, New York. She was a former president of the Polish Legion American Veterans Auxiliary 196 and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary post 186, Spring Hill. Anne is survived by her loving husband, John, three grandsons, Charles Kern, John Kern and Kenneth Kern and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation Monday, March 27, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at 280 Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill, FL, 34609. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10 AM St. Theresa in Spring Hill. A graveside service will be held at Northport Rural Cemetery, Sandy Hollow Road, Northport, New York on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 12 PM.
