My sincere condolences to John's beautiful family. I am a few thousand miles away (Calabasas,CA) from the streets of New York in the old neighborhood, especially 108th street where I lived, from 1938 to 1957, where we used to play stickball together with all the guys from Ascension, Ed & Joe McClain, Marty Flanagan, Jake Keenan, Donny Leo, etc. etc. I was different, I went to school across the street from Ascension, PS 165. We played a lot of different sports together and the name I remembered you most by was Mibs, so I will say, God Bless you Mibs, John O'Grady, we had good times together. Save me a spot up there and put in a good word for me. Thank you for being a good friend, a friend with a great sense of humor that made everyone feel good by just being there with your comments. John, you will be remembered and missed by your classmates of 1944 at Ascension and all of the Alumni of Ascension School. We had the pleasure of being with you at our reunion on September 17, 1916. I think of all the fun we had growing up on 108th Street. To your wife and great family we offer our sincere condolences.
