Dear Sheri, Joseph, David and All the Eckl and Greer Family,
As an old friend of Maureen and Joe, Bob and I watched Chris grow up, marry and have his two beloved sons. We always loved his sense of humor and how he was devoted to family. At Christmas we looked foreward to seeing photos of the boys. I have such good memories of important events in his life, like when he told, us how he proposed to Sheri at Wrigley Field. A devoted son who kindly helped his Mom in her widowed years. God bless you All at this most sad time!

I was so saddened to hear of Chris' sudden passing. I had been working with Chris recently on a business transaction. We spoke almost weekly over the past 6 months and recently had the opportunity to meet in person. He was clearly skilled in his profession and it was a pleasure to work with him. His sense of humor and wit always kept things lively. He was proud of his family, the accomplishments of his sons and his New York roots. Please accept my condolences.

Dear Eckl family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Chris at Enterprise and while we never had the opportunity to meet in person, his infectious sense of humor always lasted after the phone call ended with happy smiles on my end. In the little time I got to know Chris, his passion for affordable housing, especially for older adults, was apparent.
Sending you warm thoughts during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Alma Balonon-Rosen

I'm so heartbroken over the loss of Chris - heartbroken for Sheri and the boys and anyone whose life he touched. One of my favorite stories of Chris was when he started attending mass at St. Philip Neri in Ft. Mill. He was not a fan of holding hands during the "Our Father". He thought he had a solution by sitting on the end. He was more than a little surprised when he found out (during the Our Father) that we hold hands across the aisle. I loved watching The Princess Bride with him and will never forget the time he was at my house, indulging in a bit of wine, and as he was leaving (OK, maybe stumbling a bit across the street), he just kept saying: "I love you guys, I love you guys". We love you, too, Chris. May the angels welcome him with open arms and may all the happy memories lift you through the difficult times ahead. Love, Beth and Mark

So sorry to hear about Chris' untimely death. Chris was a cleaver man and loved to debate about any issues you threw his way. We are all thinking about him here at PNC fondly and missing him. I pray for his wife and two sons as they struggle to deal with the road ahead.

Very saddened by this loss of my friend Chris. We shared many a conversation talking about work, families, politics and his fondness for history. Chris was someone I could always call and talk with about anything and he genuinely cared about others. My condolences to his family who lost a very caring person.

In the relatively short period of time we worked together, Chris combined humor, warmth, and liveliness to leave an indelible impression on me. I will always be grateful for the opportunity I had to get to know him, and I will never forget the comfort and familiarity he brought to every conversation we had. My heartfelt condolences go out to Chris's family and many friends. He will certainly be missed.

Dear Eckl family,
I would like to express my and Edgemere Development's sincere condolences with Chris' passing. He worked with us on several affordable housing projects in New York State. He always add some lightness to sometimes very dreary "closing calls". He was a delight to have in a meeting because of his sense of humor and his value. Recently, Chris was trying to sell me on a project in Saranac where his grandparents lived - such stories he had of the place and desire to bring it back to a "great" place for seniors. Just last week we spoke about breaking the typical mold and trying some other types of projects.
He was also a mentor to my daughter, Holly Cicero -- an Enterprise colleague. I will be always grateful to him for his support of her, pushing her to reach her potential, and strive to try new things.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and with Chris. We will miss him.
