Obituary of Mary Jane Peterson

Peterson - Mary Jane, 88, passed away peacefully on August 8^th after suffering a stroke. Lifelong resident of Northport. Loving wife of Bob. They would have celebrated their 70^th Wedding anniversary this October. Devoted mother of Karen O'Gara (Owen), Joan Duffy (John), Steven Peterson (Valerie), and Peggy Balkcum (Gregg). Cherished ‘Grammy’ of Sean, Dan, Jim, Jen, Caitlyn, Sarah and Bobby. Dear great grandmother of Harrison, Kaitlyn, Owen, Kami, Patrick, Cole, Claire, Quinn and Brennan. Mary Jane volunteered for various organizations including St. Philip Neri Church and St. Charles Hospital Auxiliary of which she received honor for serving as president and 50 years total service. Visitation at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave, Northport, Monday, August 13^th, 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 10 AM, St. Philip Neri Church, Northport. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
