Joanna and I know each other since our sons were best buds as little boys. Joanna’s sweet spirit showed in all she did, from teaching Sunday School to sharing something yummy she just baked. She loved to share her joy. When she got her new car she was so happy and came to show me and took me for a ride. She smiled the whole time. Through the years we laughed together, cried together and prayed together. I know she is safe in Jesus’ arms. But it is so sad for us to lose such a wonderful women of God here on earth. Until we meet in Glory Jo, you will always have a place in my heart.

Joanna and I were great friends in St.Anthony of Padua in East Northport. Those were the days of so much laughter and light and learning about the world.We then shared many years as crazy teenagers in Holy Family. Joanna was always so confident and comfortable with herself in an age when most were not. She was grace and elegance all wrapped in to one beautiful person. We lost touch over the past years and when I saw her again she was the same young and beautiful girl I knew years before. She handled her illness with grace and was only concerned about her son and her loving family. She will be missed in this world.

Words can not express the sadness I feel for your family's loss. Joanna was a very special person to me in my life. She was more than a mentor, colleague, and friend.. She was like a big sister to me and I am truly grateful for the time I had with her on this earth, She had so much love in her heart for others and lived a righteous life. I have learned so much from her both professionally and personally that I will carry with me always. I miss her deeply and will remember her always.. May God Bless you and be with you.
