Obituary of Hector J. Battaglia, Jr., MD

Of Centerport, on August 24th, 2018, 89 years of age.Doctor of Medicine for many years in various hospitals and nursing homes as well as his own private practice. Loving husband of the late Judith C. (nee McAlinden). Beloved father of Catherine Kenyon, Ann Marie Pittelli, Susan Reid, and Janice Battaglia. Cherished grandfather of Kaitlin, Christine, Jack, Luke, Carmine, Caroline, and Nina.  Visitation will be held at the Centerport Fire Department on Sunday, August 26th, 2018, from 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Firematic Services will take place Sunday evening at 8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Centerport. Interment with US Navy Military Honors will follow at Long Island National Cemetery.
