Florence Perri, passed away November 12 at the age of 90. Florence was born in West New York, NJ on July 3, 1928 to Florence and Clemens Meyer. From the time she was 2 years old, the family spent their summers on the east end of Long Island at her grandmother's family complex in Mattituck.

Florence was an honor student at Teaneck High School and was on the Dean's List at Syracuse University.

It was there, in 1949, that she met her future husband, Pascal Perri, who was captain of the university's championship wrestling team. It was love at first sight and they were married May 17, 1952.

The family continued to spend much of their summertime enjoying the beauty and activities on the East End. It was there, not wanting to become a 'golf widow', that Florence joined her husband who had a passion for golf. Starting from a rank beginner, she became an accomplished and champion golfer. Over the years, she won 5 Ladies Club Championships and more than 20 Husband/Wife Championships at Indian Hills Country Club, Northport, 6 Cross County Husband/Wife Championships in the New York / New Jersey / Connecticut area. In addition, she had 7 Hole-In-Ones during her golfing career. Florence and her family also enjoyed travel in the US, Europe and the United Kingdom. Over the years they made many trips together.

Florence and Pascal had two children. Michael was born in February 1953. Kathleen was born in February 1955. Michael graduated from API where he played varsity soccer and lacrosse. He has been a practicing architect in the Saratoga Springs area for forty years.

Kathleen has been an equestrian show-rider, riding instructor and show judge for more than 30 years.
