Although so much time has passed since I last saw Dete, my memories of her have never left. Her hair pulled back in a tight pony tail and a smile that would light up a room. My thoughts and prayers are with Gene and their family. Much love and sympathy goes to you all.
we were like twins throughout elementary school..we would dress alike all the time.. we always laughed..i remember Dete kicking my gym bag all the way to the Friendly's icecream store..I went into my gym bag to get my glasses to read the menu and they were shattered..oh we laughed so much we cried..my special girl I will hug you again..and I will make every effort possible to donate for the cause.. I love you and I will miss you dearly..
Dete,
You were my first friend in the NYC Fire Department 62-32. We shared wonderful times together. Especially staying at your home for the many pig roasts. We had children together and also had golden retrievers. Our life was so similar. I will never forget you and you will always be in my heart.
