Eileen, Christopher, Nicholas, and Victoria,
My deepest, most heartfelt condolences to you all and the rest of the Ciresi family. I worked for Greg/your Dad at Hypo for only a short period, but bonded quickly with him as a friend. He was always supportive, kind, and hilarious. He often made us laugh and could skillfully soothe tensions during the most stressful of times. I regret that our interactions were fewer and farther apart after I left Hypo. During the times that we did speak at Hypo and beyond were often full of stories and anecdotes about you all. Great loved you all so much and was very proud of his family. Again, my condolences. Support and prayers.

Greg and I first met during the 2005-06 basketball season at Union College as his son, Nick was a freshman and our son Chris, was a senior. Almost immediately Greg and I connected and would watch the games, critique the players and criticize the referees. Greg also learned that if the game got to close it was not unusual for me to leave the gym. Afterwards, win or lose, Greg would recap the game for me that I was too nervous to watch. After our son’s graduation, we connected again when Nick joined Chris in an assistant coaching capacity at Union. And just like during their playing days, I would be out of the gym when the game got too close. But now Greg would give me the updates at one of our favorite watering holes and for some reason a close loss was not as painful following a few pints at Van Dyck’s. I will truly miss those post game sessions which always included a lot of laughs.
I have also included a photo of Greg, Eileen, Nick, our daughter in law, Leah and a few fans photographing the basketball net being cut down following the 2017 Liberty League Championship with the final score in the background. We will truly miss our post game dinners with the Ciresi’s and wish Eileen and her family our sincerest condolences.

I will truly miss this man. He was larger than life who filled every room he entered with his magnetic presence. Greg and I had the same love for music and I always enjoyed talking with him. He was a great brother in law, a loving husband , an amazing father, brother, and son who truly adored his family. My heart is broken for all of us who loved him. He will be missed more than I can express. Our family is going to have a terrible hole in it but we will never ever forget him. God Bless you Greg, ROCK ON MY FRIEND. Love your sister in law, Pam Czarnecki
