My memories of Russ go back to the 60's. At that time we both owned Ensigns and sailed and raced almost every Sunday. Russ had a red hulled boat and it seemed at the start we were always neck-and neck. Russ had some tricks up his sleeve - he would toss some little bits of hardware up into our sail, we would loose concentration, were penalized for 'barging,' and had to restart. He also did some computer pictures for me and made one recently of our Ensign, 'Salty Dog' #643. I wish I had spent more of my days of my life with him.
