In his 85th year. Son of the late Peter & Bridget McKenna (Maghera, Co. Derry, Ireland). Loving husband of 63 years to his beautiful wife Frances. Loving and caring father of Brian (Laura), the late Fr. Peter, Charles (Cynthia), James (Donna), John and Kathleen (Casey). Loving and caring Grandpa to Shaughnessy, Daniel, Peter, Lindsay, Hugh, Emily, Charles, Henry, Brian, James, Shannon, Meaghan, Jack & Benjamin. Adored Great-Grandpa "JJ" to Caleigh, Brennagh and Daniel. Loving brother of the late Peter and the late Ann Marie. Proudly served with the United States Marine Corps. Dedicated 43 year telephone company employee. Reposing Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue Northport, Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Northport American Legion Post #694 Service Thursday Evening 7:30 at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Friday 10 AM St. Philip Neri Church, Northport. Interment to follow, with U.S. Marines Military Honors, parish cemetery, East Northport. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Baldrick's Foundation, in James' memory would be appreciated.
