Bistro -John Alfred, of East Northport, NY, 91 years of age. 4/23/1928-4/16/2020
Devoted husband of the late Agnes. Loving father of Diane Glavan and her husband Omer, Robert Bistro and his wife Maura, and Mark Bistro. Loving Grandfather of Nick, Stephanie & Kristopher Glavan and John Matthew Bistro. Loving brother of Dorothy Sobonya. John was a kind soul that loved to travel, the great outdoors and all our National Parks. He honored our country being a Korean War veteran. He was born in Nedrow, NY moving to East Northport for 50+ years after his service to our country. He ran his own business there, Bistro Plumbing & Heating for over 30 years. He spent the last 3 years of his life being taken care of impeccably at the Long Island State Veterans home in Stony Brook, NY. John will be buried with his wife at St. John’s cemetery, Middle Village, Queens. In John’s memory donations may be made payable to;Stony Brook Foundation, and sent to;
