I am very sorry for this great loss. I have worked with Gene for many years and enjoyed his company at work and his BBQs. I have enjoyed listening to his humor and positive mind set with a few casual intelligently worded jokes that made me laugh profusely. I remember his jokes with that French accent, “My name, is Martin’, Gene Martin’” The funny French accent was so well put that it just made me laugh and laugh again. I have met many people and there are a very few people like Gene who can inspire, tell it like it is and keep it straight. The honesty and straight up kind of guy is extremely admirable in a person. I am truly sorry for this loss, I have lost a friend, mentor and a colleague. I will miss him, the world will miss him, dearly. Joan, I am also very sorry to you and my prayers are with you.
