For the better part oh this day, I've resurrected in my mind the countless adventures and occassions experienced and conclude that neither time or space accomdates the recounting of priceless memories and events that we shared over these many years.
I wish to thank everyone for coming out yesterday to celebrate Bob's life. I'm Fred Wills, friend since we met in elementary school in 1938, eighty two ears ago!
As all who were blessed to know hm, Bob was a warm, welcoming, gentle person who always had a smile and heartwarming hello, a positive outlook on life that he carried his entire life and a fundamental faith in the goodness of humanity. A grace of understanding, and empathy for all, Bob exemplified the true meaning of caring, giving, compassion and LOVE. His calm demeanor, loving nature, endeared him to all!
I will sorely miss the joy and camaraderie oh his presence, the respect and admiration we had for each other.
We always had each other's back!
We both shared every human emotion; happy and difficult times; the loss of his beloved wife Phyllis and more recently the passing of his first born son and my grandson, Christopher. We cried together!
After years oh solitude, Bob met Dorothy and his life took on new meaning;; he was rejunivated, professing his love to ALL at every opportunity, meaning.....everyday! I might add that at every opportunity he professed his love for my special lady Gail, Bob overflowed with love his entire life and I can attest to that!
My condolences to both Eric and Curt. Know that your Dad loved you, honor his memory. I ask all to remember him in your prayers and to please light a candle for him
With love,
Fred and Gail

Bob was certainly one of a kind. A sweet, gentle, non-judgemental person who always had a smile on his face and was always ready to listen or share a laugh. He was an amazing "grandfather" to my twins and like a "father/ father-in-law" to my husband and myself. He taught us all the value of compassion and empathy. I can still picture him holding my twins when they were born 10 years ago or walking to the diner with us the first time when they were just 2 months old. He was like a proud grandfather and always treated our twins and family in general as his own. He will certainly be missed, but the memories will live on.
Bob, RIP - you were one good soul. We love you - "Bobo."

During these most trying and arduous times I think back to the opening of a poem entitled "The Measure of a Man". The opening of the poem reminds me sooo much of this truly wonderful, dedicated, and devoted man and human being. He exemplified what it means to be a good and caring person. Robert (Bob) was a person who always took the time to listen and share his personal and professional experiences with those who were many years younger and then again, with his contemporaries. He was a very unique person; always adorned with a smile and a willingness to help whomever and whenever the assistance was needed. You need not be a relative to experience this level of empathy and compassion Bob brought to the lives of those who were blessed and fortunate to be in his company. Neighbors loved him, his country (and let me tell you, he was one damn proud American and veteran) loved him, and most of all my family adored him. Bob was always there, thru thick and thin, both physically and emotionally for my mom, sister, and my wife, twins and myself. He came to EVERY family function, he was a pillar of strength and encouragement when he heard about the news of the birth of my twin sons, and he was ALWAYS present in the event my mom was not feeling well. That’s right…Bob was ALWAYS concerned about the next person. Always unselfishly showering those whom he cared about with unbridled attention and affection in quantities money cannot buy. Bob, please know and remember this…my wife, children and I will always love you and will remember you now and always with smiles on our faces and warm feelings in our hearts knowing you were a vital part of our lives. Oh yes, the opening of the poem…
”Not - How did he die? But - How did he live?
Not - What did he gain? But - What did he give?
These are the things that measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not - What was his station? But - had he a heart?
And - How did he play his God-given part?
Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer?
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?”
We love you , miss you, and honor your memory. RIP.

We have great memories of family times with Uncle Bob. He was usually the one to be taking the pictures and videos during family gatherings. Uncle Bob always had a sense of humor and was fun to be with. Will always be thankful for the comfort he gave my sister and me when we lost our parents.

Bob came into our lives as the handyman and departed this life as a cherished de facto family member. He was kind, easy-going and always available to help with anything needed. He took great pride in his service as a USAF airman during the Korean War and gave his unconditional love to Dotty and the rest of the family. He will be sorely missed by one and all.
Rest in peace!

Due to Bob’s loving relationship with my grandmother for over a dozen years, he was the only grandfather I ever knew. It was an honor to have Bob watch me grow up from a small toddler into the young man I am today. One of my favorite childhood memories was spending every Christmas by his tree and fireplace with my parents and my grandmother. I was so, so glad that Bob was able to see me graduate from high school and send me off to college. I will miss and remember him forever. May his memory be a blessing to all those who knew him.

For the last thirteen years, my mom, my son and my nephews have been the light of Bob’s eyes. The sun rose and set around Dotty. Bob was part of our family...he was a usual member at all gatherings, holidays and celebrations. He was so proud to have been asked to stand with my mom at my son’s Bar Mitzvah and light a candle. Bob will be missed terribly.

As Bob's sweetheart for the past thirteen years, I am heartbroken at the death of this loving, kind, warm-hearted man. He was an integral part of my family, all of whom adored him. I will always miss him and cherish my memories of Bob and the wonderful times we had together.
