Obituary of Joseph Pipia
Joseph Pipia, 54, of East Northport passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 6th, 2020. He was born on September 11, 1965 in Astoria, Queens and grew up in Flushing Queens, where he attended Francis Lewis High School and made life-long friends. A musician at heart, Joe played the drums, guitar, and sang; he could often be found playing the guitar for hours a day through the early morning. He loved spending time with family and friends more than anything and could always be counted on to make others laugh. With his infectious smile and big personality, Joe always made his presence known. He was a generous person who loved to help those in need and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Doreen, cherished children, Anthony and Ilissa, mother Josephine, and siblings Anna and John. He is also survived by his many nephews and nieces, Gianni and Matteo Pipia, Michael, Nicholas, and John Galietta, and Samantha, Nicholas, and Alexander Salzano.
Visiting Sunday 6 - 10 PM. Funeral Mass Monday 10:45 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, East Northport. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Stroke Association.
