My Uncle Robert. A proud Grumman employee who worked there during the race for space and putting a man on the moon. When I would go to his home on holidays as a little kid he always showed me these odd tools he would keep proudly on display on a shelf which I had no idea what they could be for. Later in life I myself became a tool and die maker like him and finally understood what those things were he showed me growing up and the reason for his sense of pride.

I've spent 3/4 of my childhood in the Morgenweck's back yard! So many fond memories as they were an extra set of parents for me, so filled with love ! I'm glad Marie and my Mr Marie (Bob) can be together again. Love and hugs for my Morgenweck family!

He had a GREAT hearty laugh, and was a great story teller. When he told a story, it was always very engaging. That will be missed.

Family get together with Uncle Bob were always a treat, sitting in the backyard with ‘The Cronies’ sharing a beer and old family stories about Brentwood, Lindenhurst and Al’s Bar and Grill. We all loved his deep laugh which was a full throttle chuckle that was a window into his good-natured soul.
Bob did not need to take center stage, he remained laid back enjoying the conversation and adding his perspective and insights from his vast life experiences. I can hear his voice, a deep jolly baritone telling it like it is but with tact, humor, and grace. Uncle Bob remained an optimist surrounded by a sea of nay-sayers. Life was good and there were experiences to be had, International Travel, French lessons, Daylily Society, Tanglewood, BFD and Family.
It was a Life Well Lived.
Uncle Bob was, and remains a Hero.

My deepest condolences to Bob’s family. Bob was my mentor with our fire Dept’s benevolent association. He was vault of information and history for me as I began to get involved in the group. I always trusted his opinion and guidance as we addressed various issues along the way. A true gentleman and hero as he defended our freedom so many years earlier. God bless you Bob and family. I will always remain in debt to your for sharing you knowledge along the way. Rest In Peace Bob.
