Dear Barbara, Wayne, Janice and family,
I was so sorry to hear the sad news about my boss and my mentor Mr John. He taught me many things and we shared a love for animals especially Duke and Jessie. Hard-nosed John but if you knew him well enough you got to see who he really was...a straight shooter with a big heart that knew what had to be done and always got it done! God bless John and all of you! I was blessed to know him and his family. Sending my sincerest condolences

Barbara,
Our sincerest condolences to you and your entire family. We can't think about John without a smile coming to our face. He was a special breed, as best named by the Demarinis', your dearest neighbors, as "Uncle Windowsill." As tough a demeanor as he tried to present, his sincerity and willingness to help and care could not be concealed.
Here's hoping there is a parking place for his truck in Heaven, but rest assured that if not yet, he will make one.
May he rest in peace, a truly special and loyal husband, father and friend.
Jim and Sue Ruck

Can’t imagine that there’s anyone that won’t miss John ..
Outside was a grizzly bear, but inside (?!) a big old TEDDY bear-although, like all men, would hide it from you.
We wish him a peaceful journey and say “we love you” .
To all the family: our hearts are with you always.
Love. Janet and Vivi (deli girls)

To my friend for many years, you will be missed dearly.
I always heard how tough John was and honestly he did scare me and intimidate me when he came in to Steakport Restaurant. I came to know John as a kind and caring person.
He fooled us all. He called me his little sister....well Big Brother you can now Rest In Peace and watch over your family. We will see each other again one day.....just not yet
