I am very saddened to hear of Marianne's passing. I just found out very recently that she had passed. I knew her from Baldwin, New York, as my Grandparent's lived 3 doors down from the Memoles. I used to stay with them for the summers growing up, and Marianne and I would hang out(mind you, we were only about 4-8 years old). We actually got close and I would always see if she was in her backyard playing when I visited, so I could go over. My grandparent's moved out of Baldwin in 1974, and I never went back to visit the "ol' neighborhood" for a long time. The last time I talked to her was at my Grandmothers funeral in 1979. I said we should catch up over coffee, but constricting timeframes at that moment were, sadly, not to be. I finally got back to Baldwin around 2005 and talked to the Memole's next-door neighbor about their family, but by this time, they all moved away. Always would think back on those childhood memories from time to time. I think it was sort of the feeling from the movie, "Stand by Me", when Richard Dryfest's character read about his best friend dying. Solemn is the best way to explain it. Anyway, My heartfelt condolences and sympathies to her family and friends. Rest in Peace, my old friend. Hope God keeps you under his wing.

She was so sweet to me as I had my duty period by the gym a few years back. We would say good morning to each other and chat about our families. She will be missed. Rest in peace!
