Uncle Matty is a huge part of my childhood memories. His smile, his laugh, his jokes, his singing, his stories and the gleam in his eyes and the mischievous grin he'd get, especially when the was teasing my mom. He'd grin from ear to ear, tap me on the shoulder and say "watch your mother". Then he'd pick on her or tease her as only siblings do, and laugh a laugh that filled the room. Everyone within earshot would erupt in laughter, especially mom. He loved making people laugh. He was genuine and kind and so much fun to be around. Even through the tears, I smile when I think about him. I was lucky to have had him in my life. He will be missed, and forever loved.

We will miss him very much. We loved him and his wonderful sense of humor. He always asked about how people were doing.
Love,

Above anything else, Dad was a genuinely good man, with a good heart. He was so funny & always had a good joke to tell. He worked his whole life on the LIRR. In his younger days he loved to sing in the St. Anthony’s Choir. Dad had a great voice. I can remember him singing with his uncles at any family party. He also liked to bowl, coach softball and was a huge Mets Fan. A fond memory is of him taking me to a Breakfast with Buddy Harrelson & many a hockey game in Commack. He loved helping out at St. Philip Neri Church where he and Mom were married. He was very proud to be in the Knights of Columbus. I love you and miss you Dad.
