Schwictenberg, Violet K. on Thursday October 31, 2013, 86 years of age, formerly of Massapequa, has resided the last several years at Birchwood Suites, East Northport. Loving wife of the late William who died November 2002. Beloved daughter of the late Lauritz Christian Karban and the late Theresa M. Karban. Survived by her sister Ethel L. Eff. Predeceased by her sister Mae Jacob, and brothers Bernard Karban and Lauritz Christian Karban. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Violet worked as a Manager for many years for the Boy Scouts of America in Manhattan, helping with Benefits and Compensation. Violet will be waked at the Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. The services will be held at the Funeral Home Sunday evening at 8PM, Pastor Harry Schenkel from St. Paul's Lutheran church presiding. Interment will be 11AM, Breslau Cemetery Monday November 4, where Violet will be laid to rest next her husband. Donations to Boy Scouts of America, region 2, NYC or to the Alzheimers Organization in Violet's name would be appreciated.
