Proprietor of Martella & Neiland Pharmacies in East Northport, later he was appointed chief of pharmacy at the Northport V.A. Hospital and after his retirement continued as a consultant to the new chief. Collegiate Athlete - Played third base for St. John's University, his alma mater. Loving husband of the late Isabelle A. (nee DiGiacomo) Martella. Devoted father of Andrew R. (Linda), Robert T. (Joyce), Charles E. (Toni), Michael J. (Barbara). Beloved grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Reposing Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport, Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral prayer 10:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
