Obituary of Lois J. Campbell

Campbell - Lois Jacquelyn (nee Morse) "Jackie", of Northport NY, passed away peacefully February 18, 2021, surrounded by her family, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Jackie was born in Beverly, MA, on November 6, 1932, daughter of the late Arthur R. and Catherine (Troop) Morse. She graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1950.

In her early twenties Jackie moved to New Jersey with some friends. During these years, she had many adventures, one of which was driving across the United States and Canada with her friends. The experiences during this time created life long memories that she and her friends would often reminisce about together. Later in life, she would travel across the USA twice more, once by train with a friend and once by car with her husband. She enjoyed these trips immensely.

While living in New Jersey Jackie met her husband, John, and it was love at first sight. They married and shortly after moved to Long Island, settling down in Northport where together they raised their four children.

Throughout her life, Jackie was blessed with many close friends, who she loved dearly and who loved her, right to the end of her life. She had an optimistic, loving, and humorous outlook on life which attracted all kinds of people to her. She was beloved and will be missed by many.

Jackie was the beloved wife of the late John W. Campbell Sr. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Florence M. Cahill, and brothers Arthur R. Morse and William W. Morse, a niece, Beverly A. Morse, and nephews James A. Morse, Dana W. Cahill, and Todd P. Moran.

(Dolores), Andrew R.; five cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Alison, Cameron, Jillian, and Noah; her loving sister Nancy L. (John) Moran; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart. She also leaves her devoted cat, Rascal.
