Obituary of George Gaston Grenier

George Gaston Grenier of Huntington passed suddenly on February 24, 2021, at the age of 63. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine, with whom he recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. George was a dedicated family man. He took great pride in each of his seven children and devoted his boundless energy to their safety and wellbeing. He was the loving father of George Grenier IV, his wife Danielle, and their daughter Colette; Nicholas Staudt and his husband Joseph; Christopher Grenier and his wife Melissa; Michelle Grenier Burke and her husband Daniel; Hannah Grenier, Gabrielle Grenier, and Isabelle Grenier. George was predeceased by his father George II, his mother Mary, and sister Dana. He was the dear brother in-law of Leslie DiMeo, Mark DiMeo, Douglas DiMeo and Paula DiMeo-Stayne and their spouses. George was also loved by his many nieces and nephews, cousins Randall and Denise, and cherished by countless friends and co-workers. Raised in Hollywood, CA, he came to NY in the 1980's to resume his career in the theatrical transportation industry. A loyal member of Local 817 Theatrical Teamsters, George loved his work and his team saw him as their "go to guy" for every aspect of a complex business. Those who knew George valued his selflessness, his hard work, and his patient, caring nature.
