Regina A. Wendell, 96, of Melville left her family for Heaven on March 15, 2021. Beloved by all and affectionately known as “Mom, Nana, and Jean;” her spirit and limitless energy were a constant source of wonder to anyone who was blessed enough to have been in her presence. Her beaming smile and contagious laughter were constant reminders that life is worth celebrating at every turn. Jean selflessly dedicated much of her life volunteering her time and energy to St. Elizabeth’s Church in Huntington Station. Her ceaseless commitment to her faith and those around her will leave a lasting impression on those she loved for generations to come. Her family loves and misses her tremendously... but is thrilled she is finally back with “Roy Boy” and able to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with him again in Heaven.

Loving wife of the late Roy. Loving Mother of daughter Gail and husband Thomas Keller, daughter Carol and husband Frank Johnston, daughter Diane and husband Joseph Tabone, son Kenneth and wife Patti Wendell. Cherished grandmother of Andrew and wife Marie, Stephen and wife Madeline, Jennifer and husband James, Christopher and wife Sarah, Brendan, Patrick K., Kevin, Scott and wife Liz, Patrick J., Douglas and wife Melissa, Michael and fiancé Theresa, Kellie and fiancé Will, and Ryan. Dear great grandmother of Harper, Grayson, Paige, Quinn, Abby, Aiden, Jacob & Alex. Dear sister of Bernadine and husband Arthur Chomas and Sister Valeri Jazembowski. Visiting Thursday 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, 175 Wolf Hill Road, Huntington Station, followed by Funeral Mass to begin at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery. Donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, in her memory would be appreciated.
