Obituary of Craig A. Lembo, MD
Dr. Craig Andrew Lembo, a Stony Brook, NY native and family medicine specialist last serving the Bronx community, passed away March 25, 2021 peacefully in the company of his beloved dogs.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Lehigh University, Craig thrived in medicine, serving patients in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and New York throughout his extensive thirty year career.
Born on June 5th, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY, Craig was loved by his family and friends as a caring, compassionate and entertaining individual. The oldest of three, he guided his siblings through the challenges of young adulthood with a creative and kindhearted light.
After his success at Lehigh, Craig graduated with honors from medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1991. He then practiced internal medicine in Florida and continued his career in Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma where his patients recognized him as a brilliant and warmhearted doctor.
Returning to the East Coast in 2018, Craig passionately assisted residents of Queens and the Bronx and was acknowledged as a veteran leader of his practice. Yet, despite his passion for medicine, Craig’s true joy over the past few years was spending time with his family back in New York.
Craig is survived by his mother, Joyce Lembo; sister, Loren Lembo Mularz (Paul); brother, Richard Lembo (Nancy); nephews and niece, Andrew, Daniel and Manon Mularz; nephews, Nicholas, Christopher and Jonathan Lembo and cherished dogs, Flash and Donna. Visiting 1:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, March 28th. Funeral Service 11 AM on Monday, March 29th at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport, NY. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.
