I fondly remember the block parties and trick or treating as a child on Maple Avenue. Bridie was always present. Larger than life. My deepest condolences to her family.

We will always cherish the times when Bridie would stop and chat while out on her daily walks! Such a wonderful person! God Bless her and May she Rest In Peace. Jim & Donna McKenna

It is with great sadness that I send this note. I will miss Bridie very much. although we moved from Northport some years ago, I tried to stop and visit her when visiting NY.
I will forever remember her. We shared so many lunches, teas and laughs over the years. She was a wonderful friend, always so thoughtful and caring toward everyone in the neighborhood. My daughter Catherine benefited from Bridie's warmth and kindness while she watched over her when I worked part time. Edie and Bob Leporati

She was an amazing Grandma who always made me feel loved. She always had some deviled eggs ready in fridge when I came to Long Island when I got home. It’s the little things like that, that show you how much a person cares for others. I love this picture of both of my grandmas. It shows their warm and loving nature. It’s no wonder they got along so well. Goodness knows goodness when it sees it

When I moved to NH , I would come down once a year to LI to visit the cousins. Bridie always made lunch for us all and I never left without her famous Irish scones. Her husband and mine died around the same time and every Saturday we spoke on the phone consoling one another and sharing memories. My brother was killed in a boating accident and the last picture I have of him was having a beer in the play room of Bridie’s home with Richie. We were roommates on a trip to Ireland and when I was young she use to baby sit me. She always referred to her husband as my Richie. Wishing all the family cherished memories to sustain you in the time ahead.

Dear Veronica,
I have many pictures from your trip with my mom and Rosemarie to Ireland. I also have fond memories of your husband Jimmy and your mom, Aunt Winnie. Please give my love to your daughters and their families. We will forever miss my mom, “Bridie”. She loved life and did not want to leave.
Thank you for being such a big part of her family. She loved you and Rosemarie very much.
Love,
Patty

Bridie was not just my neighbor, but family to me. She watched us after school as kids, gave us snacks and kept us in line. I have many memories of Christmas Eve’s spent at her house. She kept a watch on our home and called our high school friends by the cars they drove, most memorable Blue Truck Guy. She loved to talk, but also to listen intently and she was quick to giggle. She was very special and she will be missed. This photo is from my wedding and now she is back with her beloved, Ritchie.
