Schmidt – Edward, on April 21, 2021, formerly of N. Bellmore, 100 years of age. Proud WWII Army Veteran and Engineer. Loving husband of the late Mary Ann. Beloved father of John (Susan) and the late Joseph (Maria). Caring companion to his feline Mio. Devoted grandfather of Carolyn, Lauren, Eddie, Leanna and the late David. Dear great grandfather of Vanessa. Son of the late Jacob and Pauline. Brother of the late George, Charles and Alvina. Visitation will be held at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport, Monday April 26th from 5 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday April 28th at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 Van Roo Avenue, Merrick. Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Shore Animal League (animalleague.org).
