Obituary of Pamela Long Nolan

Masks are still required to be worn at all times within the building for those who have not been fully vaccinated. We ask for your respect and honesty regarding this policy, as a funeral home is a gathering place where possible high-risk people may be in attendance. Those who visit or attend the services for Pamela, and are fully vaccinated, are not required to wear a mask inside the funeral home.  If you are vaccinated but feel more comfortable wearing a mask, you are welcome and encouraged to do so.

Nolan, Pamela Long on May 22, 2021, 80 years of age, of East Northport. Beloved wife of 56 years to James P. Nolan, Jr. Loving mother of Jemina Keller (Jeffrey), Michael Nolan (Pam), Patrick Nolan (Lea), Megan Nolan (Sam DeCesare) and Mark Nolan (Nora). Proud Nana of Liam, Mara, Gillian, Ellis, Summer, Riley, Caroline, Claire, Ruby, Lila, and Olivia. Fond sister of Carol Clarke, Christine Long, the late Mary Alice Adams and the late Charles Long. Aunt Pam to many nieces and nephews.

The following is from Pamela’s website www.pamelalongnolan.com:

I studied drawing and painting from my early teens through my twenties with various professional artists in their private ateliers and at the Art Students' League. I finished up studying sculpture and printmaking at SUNY Empire State College and SUNY Stony Brook with professors Barbarie Rothstein at the former and Dan Weldon at the latter.

I work weekdays at my studio where I have been practicing my art for more than 45 years. I have taught studio art (painting and drawing) for SUNY Empire State College, The Art League of Long Island (then known as Huntington Township Art League), and privately in my studio in Northport. I have retired from teaching. For several years I did courtroom illustration for Newsday and CBS TV News. My paintings have been exhibited in most of the Long Island museums including The Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, the Islip Art Museum and the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor. Many galleries have shown my work as well - on Long Island and New York City.

Reposing at Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue Northport Wednesday 2-4:30 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass 11 AM Thursday, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, East Northport. Interment to follow at Northport Rural Cemetery. Donations to your favorite charity in Pamela's memory would be appreciated.
