He was my teacher and he was one of the best I had which is why I remember him at 53 years old. He was funny and made me excited about learning.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Chris, Tim, and family. I didn't get to know Pete well, but he was always such a friendly, funny and kind person when I visited over the years. A great teacher in our public school system. Rest in Peace, Pete.

As colleague and friend, Pete was such a very kind, compassionate, humble man whose presence and smile nevertheless lit up a room or your day. He was truly dedicated to his profession and his students, and to fighting tirelessly for what he believed was right and just, in his quiet, firm, compelling way. There are too few of him.
