I'm so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. Tom and I were school mates and met in the 7th grade at Robert Frost Jr. High School in Deer Park, NY. in 1967. We were friends thru High School, (1973), but after graduation went our separate ways. In 2004 we met each other again at the Long Island Pride Parade in Huntington. We did try to keep in contact but life has a way of deciding what it wants. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Tom's family. He was a sweet and kind person and I'm glad we were friends in school. Sincerely Steve Henaghan and John Roarty

Uncle Tom was a wonderful person - very creative, loving, and a joy to be around. I have many fond memories of the ways he used to entertain me and my cousins on the rare occasions we got to visit him. I know he had some great years with Aunt Debbie, and though their marriage didn't last, he found someone else he could love and cherish. Love you Uncle Tom and will miss you!

Thom was one of the gifts that God gave to the world to make us a better place. He was meant to be among people and Heartichoke was one of the ways that made that possible. There may have been challenges and stumbles in his life, but he always kicked in with his great outlook and love for all in order to overcome them. And there was usually a light story or joke attached.
I will miss Thom terribly, sometimes even painfully. I already do.
I never got to make Detroit pizza with him, but could taste it through the stories we shared about the best way to make it. Loved having parties with him, especially when we cooked together.
His hospital visits could be a joy to listen to and I know his caregivers really cared for him as a patient and a person.
His family loved him dearly. He was very proud of them and returned that love. I remember many a story of them. But some of my very best memories of Thom are when he was with Martin. I have known and loved Martin for over 50 years and was thrilled when he and Thom got together. Their love and happiness was a sight to see. His love for Martin is another reason I will always miss him.
May God continue to bless you Thom in your new world as He blessed you while you were in ours.
