Obituary of Mary Duffy

Duffy, Mary on June 14th, in her 87th year of Northport. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of John J. Duffy (Joan), Joseph Duffy (Jeanne), Gerard Duffy (Paulette), Michael P. Duffy (Melanie) and Jean-Marie Sien (the late John). Caring grandmother of James Duffy (Nichole), Jennifer McNally, Joseph Duffy, Julianne Duffy, Daniel Duffy, Matthew Duffy, Thomas Duffy, Jacob Duffy (Fiancee Samantha), William Duffy (Caroline), Clay Knapp (Marina) and Zachary Sien. Proud great-grandmother Patrick, Cole, Claire, Quinn and Brennan. Caring Sister of Margaret Golding and pre-deceased by her Brothers John Horty, James Horty, WIlliam Horty and sisters Eleanor McCarthy and Theresa Feit. Mary was the youngest of seven, she worked for the Town of Huntington Receiver of Taxes office as the Head Cashier. She was a committee member of the Town of Huntington Senior Club, and received the Town of Huntington Senior Citizen Award. She was a devoted member of St. Philip Neri Church. She was active on the Parish Council, member of the Ladies Altar Society, Extraodinary Minister, Member of the Consolation Ministry, Member of the Holy Name Society Ladies Auxiliary, member of the St. Philip Neri Seniors and was Awarded the Bishop's St. Agnes Medal in 2009 for parish service. Reposing Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport Friday 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Saturday 11 AM, St. Philip Neri Church, interment to follow at the Parish Cemetery East Northport. Donations to your favorite Ministry at St. Philip Neri's Church, in Mary's memory would be appreciated.
