Obituary of Donald R. Kirby

Donald (Don) R. Kirby of Northport, on June 19th, 2021 in his 78th year parted with us to rejoice with the friends and family that have gone before him.

Adoring husband of the late Maureen. Devoted father of Kathy Viard (Michael), Jackie Oster (Billy), John Kirby (Buffie Adams) and Kerrie Franceschini (Frank). Munificent grandfather of Jaclyn, Michaela, Lauren, Carly Epley (Nick), Katie, Tage, Cassidy, Kiernan, Ryan and Sarah. Proud great-grandfather of Aubrey, Jude and Charlie. Beloved brother-in-law of James Cullinane. Dedicated and long-serving member of the Steamfitters Local #638.

Loved by all for his big sense of humor and even bigger heart.

Don lived for his family. He loved them dearly, along with his dog Brutus, and a good hot dog.

Reposing Nolan Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Avenue, Northport Tuesday, 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, East Northport. Interment to follow at Northport Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Maureen, donations to V.N.S. of Suffolk, 505 Main Street, Northport, in Donald's memory would be appreciated.
