Mom I miss you….
If love is measured by sacrifice then your love was unlimited.
You sacrificed so much for us and you always gave us what we needed.
I remember the first time you gave me 3 quarters for helping you, but I think it was because you knew I was sad because I could not play with the other kids.
I remember the times you taught me the math tables while you were cooking dinner.
I remember when you said we could afford to send me to Cornell.
I remember that you made us study, but also wanted to be well rounded buying music instruments, sending us to boy scouts and little league.
I remember the long drives to universities and back in a single day.
I remember that you never ate before us.
I miss your smile and laugh...
I remember the time when you bought the puppy with the largest feet, and then said his ears were to big
I remember the time that you guessed your Christmas present without opening it by simply moving it around.
I remember the time you told us the story how you chased and caught baby rabbits rather than pick strawberries with Mrs. Calderaro.
I remember when you said you saw a deer around our house.
I remember that you made me duck when I came home from school because it was my favorite
I remember the times when you washed Rascal and Buster.
I remember it as we walked around China.
I remember it when we bought you the new car for your 60th birthday.
I remember your smile beamed every time we accomplished something.
You were always strong, smart and hardworking.
You worked into your 80s at the Country Bagel Shop getting up at 5am.
You were a creative problem solver and fixed everything around the house.
You always found a way to stretch a dollar; ring twice on the phone to be picked up.
You taught us to be independent, self-reliant and fair.
You taught us to help others.
You taught me to save!
You kept the house, and kept us in Northport.
You put 4 kids through private college.
You always had the right answer for me.
We did not have too much, but we did not miss anything we truly needed.
We had your love and that was enough. Thank you for everything,
I miss you so very much, I miss you every day and for the rest of my life.
I love you mom.
Wayne

To all my NY cousins...please know that my heart is very saddened with your Mom's passing. A favorite memory I have is a mental picture of her posing for one of her "glam" shots in my Mom's garden...that would be her older sister. Her model like pose, great smile, and being stylishly dressed made her very photogenic. Of course I can't find the pic when i really want to share it with y'all, but I'll keep looking.
I believe that all of you have inherited your Mom's strong and determined characteristics and that will definitely see you through the difficult moments in the upcoming days. I hope your Mom, my Aunt Helen, and her other siblings are together and they're all watching over us. Stay strong, cherish all your great memories, and be safe.
With lots of love...sincerely, Betty Lou

William, Wayne, Soo Mae and Lon Mae,
We are so very sorry and deeply saddened by the passing of your Mom. My sisters and I were just little girls when your Mom lived with us, but will always remember how she was always there with us. Our Mom was working and your Mom helped take care of us. She made costumes for our school events and made wonderful desserts. I still remember the day she left us and how much I cried. She promised me she would come back, but she couldn't because ya'll needed her more. I will always remember her smile and how beautiful she was. She will be greatly missed.....
Your Cousin Dorothy

I remember thinking how "glamorous" Aunt Helen was; not just physically but also how treated us. When Dad was recovering from surgery, she called Mom's house. I was lucky enough to pick up the call. She was so concerned about both Dad and Mom. Her caring and offer to help was warm and genuine.
She will be missed--
