My deepest condolences on the passing of Kathy. She was my first Boss at LIU CW Post and was always there to guide me and advise me and make me the best. I will never forget when I got my call, it was Kathy, and she simply said "How would you like to do some advising?" and I knew I got my first job. I am heart broken at this passing. To the family, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I will say a special prayer in church this weekend in memory of Kathy

70th Birthday Celebration.
It has been a honor and a privilege to serve as Judge Tomlinson's Courtroom Deputy for the last 9 and 1/2 years.
Deepest sympathy to Margaret and the family and friends of Judge Tomlinson. I will miss her both personally and professionally.
May she continue her life's work in heaven and know she will be forever in my thoughts and prayers. She was an amazing woman.

I had the honor to work with Judge Tomlinson as one of her court reporters in the EDNY. She always brought a smile to my face whenever we would meet. She was one of the nicest people I have ever known. Whenever I sent her a holiday e-card I would always get a nice note in return. Judge, you will live on forever in the hearts of all those who knew you.

I was lucky enough to have Judge Tomlinson hire me as her law clerk in 2010. I spent two years in her Chambers and learned so much from her. Judge T had the patience of a saint. She really cared about the careers of her law clerks and was a true mentor. I discussed every career decision I had with her. After clerking for her I clerked with Judge Hurley, which gave me another year to converse with Judge T on a weekly basis. I looked forward to our annual clerk dinners and wished COVID did not spoil this tradition the last few years. Judge T officiated my wedding and did such an amazing job that friends asked for her script to give to their wedding officiants. The EDNY will not be the same without her. For a family that has suffered so much loss, my heart goes out to Margaret and the Tomlinson family.

Kathleen's passing is a terrible loss for the community of the Eastern District of New York and heart wrenching for her Eastern District Court family. Nothing got her down - always smiling - always positive. She was committed to delivering justice quickly, fairly and with compassion and respect for all, regardless of their station. Always the educator, her dedication to the Civics Education projects of the Court and the Second Circuit, her joy in bringing young people to the court to learn about the judiciary and her delight in swearing in new citizens is legend in the Court. We are blessed to have known Kathleen and to have worked with her. Dora L. Irizarry, U.S.D.J.

I worked with Kathleen in the district court of Nassau County, she was a legal aid attorney at the time. She was such a class act we got along wonderfully. I was the other side PD in the Da’s office brings the charges. When she was appointed to the federal bench it was great. We used to see each other at mass.
God bless her RIp, Bill McKenna NCPD retired
