He was our son's first hockey coach with the Dix Hills Mites and taught him the game of hockey. He always had a smile on his face and loved sharing his knowledge of the game. I ran into Chris at a hockey rink over the summer. I was able to thank him for all he did for my son and let him know he was the reason our son loves the game of hockey and the reason he is the player he became. It was the first time I saw Chris since he coached our son. It hurts to think that it will be my last time. Our sincere condolences to Viviano family. We will miss him. RIP coach Chris.

Chris was a dear friend of mine for many years. He helped me and guided me through extremely rough times. He helped me to follow my dream and start my career in the fire service. I will miss him terribly. I would like to wish my sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones. He was an amazing human being and will be missed immensely.

Chris was the 5 yr old ring bearer at my late wife Julie ( his cousin ) & my wedding in 1974 . Everyone there was in love with the beautiful smile & handsome young boy & were amazed what a great job he did . He grew up to be a loving & compassionate son, husband , father , & very proud member of the NYPD . It was my honor to know him . May he Rest In Peace .
