I took advantage of Harry's chiropractic services many times over the past 40 years and it was always a pleasure. Beside getting a needed adjustment it was always good sharing stories about shared interests, people and the community with him. Harry was always friendly and helpful in ways beyond just a spine adjustment. A tried and true part of the Northport community. I will miss him.

My stepfather, Michael Scorcia passed away this past December. He and his sisters Mary and Nina were all patients of Dr. Keidel. He helped them all tremendously and was a great benefit to them. My Aunts came in from Nassau County just to be treated by him. Our condolences to the family of this wonderful man. Our community will miss him sorely. He can never be replaced and truly was a treasure. Diana Hannon

There are not enough words to describe the human that Dr.Keidel was. As a doctor, his amazing hands got my mom walking again and put me out of pain more times than I can even remember. I am 62 and met him as an 18 year old with a dislocated finger that one of his patients said he could fix and she took me to see him. Fixed and out of pain in minutes. From then on, Doc was my go to person and eventually the rest of my family followed suit. But he was more then a doctor, he was a healer of hearts and the best listener and advice giver ever. We shared the births of all his grandchildren together and Carol and I would talk before my appointments sharing stories. When I saw he had passed , my heart broke and I cried for his kids, grandkids and all of us who would never feel his healing hands and see his smiling face. There was no better person then Doctor Keidel and his reward in heaven will be great. Love to all of his family. This loss is huge as was the loss of Carol and please know that his legacy will live on forever.
Sincerely,
Fran Sinobio

Let this be said first and foremost. Dr. Keidel was a gift to this world. During any time he spent with any one of his patients he was the most gentle, caring healer; You just knew deep down that he wanted to help, and would go above and beyond even his own standards in making anyone he was with feel they were cared for outside of a simple chiropractic adjustment. He would give vitamins and supplements out to people he thought it might help, he would regularly loan out his personal equipment from his office to patients if he thought they could further their healing at home. He truly was a shining beacon of what this community or anyone in life could strive to achieve.
My family has always, as far back as I can remember, and even before I was born (in 89) would share stories about how much of a miracle worker Dr. Keidel was. In the 70s, my uncle had gotten into an accident and his back was in agony from that point, My grandfather tried everything including the archaic traction machines at the hospital. My uncle would beg not to go back. Finally, when enough was enough, my grandfather sought the help of Dr. Keidel. My uncle to this day describes the first adjustment and the relief he felt being like taking a boiling kettle off the stove, the pain just drained away and he could function properly.
My parents, and my own father - rest his soul - also frequented Dr. Keidel for any sort of issue he could treat. When my parents separated. One thing they always agreed on hands down was that if anyone needed a chiropractor "Just call Keidel"
Even when I fractured a vertebrae in my back, and herniated a disc very badly, The one course of action that kept me from needing surgery and a potential fused bone in my back was the treatment that Dr. Keidel provided.
But his expertise knew no bounds. He was the wisest man I knew, he helped me cope with the loss of my own father in 2012, because he was a person who knew my father, but would never obfuscate his feelings like a person within my own family might have. It was probably the only thing that helped me through that time. Not to mention the countless amazing conversations I've had with Dr. Keidel over the course of ten years of my personal experience with him. He was even the first person to make my wife (who emigrated from Ireland) feel welcome here unconditionally. My wife misses Dr. Keidel dearly.
My mother, who recently lost her husband of 25 years, was shattered by the event, depressed and listless in the sea of grief after losing her life partner (my stepfather) and there was very little I personally could do to lessen her suffering. But through her visits to Dr. Keidel, and the familial relationship our families have always had Dr. Keidel helped my mother process her own grief by sharing his own experience losing his loving wife Carol not long before that time. We are actually proud that the plot where my stepfather is buried is right next to the plot where Dr. Keidel and Mrs. Keidel will and does occupy. We always say how good company they are in whenever we visit.
There is so much more I could say, but I can only fit so much on this memory board before it tells me it's too much.
To the lovely family and loved ones of Dr. Keidel. Please know that he will always be in our hearts, he was such a positive influence on everything he made contact with that the world, life, the cosmos, will have to work ten times as hard to create someone with half as much love, wisdom and compassion as he had. Wherever he is now, in whatever form his energy exists, I know he is surrounded by all the people he helped along the way, and that list is not a short one. I've already talked to my wife, and we are in agreement that Henry is a wonderful name to consider for our first son.

Your father was a gift to us all in so many ways. His life was a celebration of everything anyone could ever hope to have in the world. A loving family, a community that loved and respected him, a successful business, and a legacy that is measured in the amount of people who's lives he made better. His character was unshakable and there are few people who can say they had what he did.
We will always have a special place in our heart for your father and family.
he truly changed our lives.

Doctor,Husband,Father,Grandfather....and my dear friend. A quiet, kind, and caring man, with a sharp wit and huge sense of humor.
His guidance and knowledge he gave without hesitation and bestowed it on anyone who knew him. My fondest memories will always be of him on his red tractor clearing snow in winter, and his love of gardening in summer.
Rest in Peace my friend, you were like a second father to me.
Your home now....Enjoy Eternal happiness with the love of your life ..Carol.
