Obituary of Michael J. Wieczorek

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 8, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church East Northport NY, where Michael will have military honors and a NYFD honor guard.

Michael Joseph Wieczorek, 59-year resident of East Northport, born November 15, 1935 passed away on September 3, 2022. Michael leaves behind his beloved wife Barbara 3 days shy of their 64' wedding anniversary and their 5 Children: Cathy Farrell (Paul), Michael Wieczorek (Lynette), Kevin Wieczorek (Kim), Cherise Sikorsky (Greg) and Keith Wieczorek (Christine). He was the proud and beloved

grandfather of 15: PJ, Kristen Mary (predeceased), Brian, Lauren, Kyle, Blake, Matthis, Corey, Jaclyn, Ryan, Kevin, Greg, Jeff, Kayla, and Michael. He also was a Great grandfather to 11 Michael was a veteran of the United States Navy, proud fireman for the FDNY for 24 years, owner of Laurel Wine and Liquors for over 25 years, as well as being a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed being a longtime youth coach for his children's teams. He always took great pride in watching his children and then his grandchildren's sporting events, rarely missing an opportunity to see them all play. Since 2000 he enjoyed his winters in Tarpon Springs Florida where he had many new friends and made the most of his retirement years. He also leaves behind many lifelong friends and family who loved him. His legacy will continue for generations to come and he will not be forgotten.
