Obituary of Caryle R. Bethel

BETHEL - Caryle Robbins, 80, passed peacefully in the presence of family and friends September 21, 2022. Born March 13, 1942 in Northport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Alma (Ketcham) Robbins. Caryle earned the nickname "Jollie" early in life for her positive outlook and contagious laughter, traits that she exhibited even throughout her long battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her selflessness, generosity and kindness. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Brooke (Bethel) and Philip J. Harrell; four adoring grandchildren; her sister Lillian K. Bruu; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Caryle was predeceased by her brothers Donald L. and David D. Robbins, and sister Lorrie Sullivan. Burial will be private. Celebration of life will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 at Voorhees Hall at Mt. Sinai Congregational Church 4 - 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Mt.
