I like to extend my condolences to Dean’s family, friends and fiancé. I’m saddened by his sudden passing. I was a friend of Dean’s in high school and was fortunate to reunite with him after many years of not seeing him. We attended the Fare The Well concert in San Clara in 2015 and had as much fun as one could ever hope to. We did it again for our high school reunion sharing laughs late into the night. I’ll miss his smile and his way of making you feel good about yourself. He really was a special guy, forever a legend in my book. Love, Brad Schoonmaker

My deepest sympathy goes out to Dean's Mom, Pat and his Sister and all his family and friends. Dean was my first boyfriend in 8th grade and quickly earned the nickname "Dean the Dream" which is the only way I referenced him since. I will never forget his kindness, good humor and great laugh. I was very sad to learn the news of his passing. My memories of that short period of time are so fond and I will never forget him. Rest easy, Dean the Dream. <3
