Maureen Kathleen DeBono was finally reunited with the love of her life on December 2, 2022. Her beloved husband of 36 years, Dan J DeBono died in 2000, and Maureen spent the final years praying for their reunification in heaven. Maureen lived a long, happy life and died peacefully after spending a full day in the loving care of her oldest daughter Mary Ellen in Wilmington, N.C. She is survived by five children: Patty, Martin, Mary Ellen, Dan and Joseph. She was a beloved Grandma to nine grandchildren. Maureen was known for her sense of humor, attraction to sweets, dedication to all her children, belief in being and unmovable faith. She was blessed with three great loves: her husband - Danny as she called him, her children and grandchildren - all of whom survive her, and her faith in the Catholic Church.
