Our beloved Manman, Grandma, Tante, and Sister Ogive Prophete has gone home to be with the Lord. Ogive was born on March 1st, 1938 and although we are sad that she is gone, we know she lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith that will be forever remembered.

Ogive was born in Grande-Saline, Haiti and grew up with a home filled with siblings and loving parents.

As a young woman, Ogive met and married the love of her life, Beautonne in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Together, they built a life full of love, joy, and hard work. Beautonne and Ogive had ten children and raised them with a strong sense of family values and faith!

In 1996, Ogive left Haiti and came to America to live with her children. Throughout her life, Ogive faced many challenges, like losing children & husband, but she never lost her faith in God's provision and guidance. She turned to prayer in times of trouble, and she always found the strength to persevere through the power of her faith.

Ogive had many talents but one that she loved to share was her voice. She would grace us with a beautiful voice constantly singing praises & hymns glorifying God.

In her later years, Ogive enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, sharing stories of her life and passing down her wisdom to the next generation. She loved to just sit and watch her family and it brought her so much joy when they were around. She was an inspiration to those around her with her unwavering faith and her commitment to helping others.

Ogive was not only a faithful servant of Jesus but also an ardent prayer warrior. She spent countless hours in prayer, lifting up the needs of her family, friends, and community to God. Her prayer life was a testament to her deep faith and was always willing to share the gospel to anyone who had ears to hear.

Ogive loved attending church and was a long time member of Island Christian Church. You could find her in the back of the church standing with her hands high praising God!

Ogive believed in the power of prayer to transform lives and circumstances, and she was always willing to pray with anyone who needed it. She saw prayer as a way to connect with God and to bring comfort and healing to those who were hurting.

As Ogive's loved ones mourn her passing, they take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of God, whom she loved and served with all her heart. They will honor her memory by continuing to pray and to seek God's guidance in their own lives, and by following Ogive's example of steadfast faith and unceasing prayer.

Despite the distance that sometimes separated them, Ogive remained close to her family, keeping in touch through letters, phone calls, and visits whenever possible. Her love and devotion to her family knew no bounds, and they will carry on her legacy of compassion, kindness, and strength.
